The gas kiln at Corsham Court effortlessly reached 1280C on Monday 22nd October. Three large amphora complete and ready for submission to The Pound Arts Open exhibition.

Bath Artisan Market 11th November

Bath Artisan Market is definitely a hit.  Undercover, great artisans producing anything from food and drink to art and craft.  The next one is on 11th November just the right time to do your Christmas shopping and this time there will be the added attractions of craft demonstrations along craft row.

Bowood Game and Country Fair

The Bowood Game and Country Fair was a real draw - must have been over 10,00 people on site on sunny Saturday with droves moving through the Crafts Village.  Sunday, in contrast was a complete washout weather-wise but still there were enough people to make the event worthwhile.

Live television appearance scheduled for 24th August

Yes, one appearance on BBC Points West and the next scheduled for ITV!!  This one is live and there's an audience, so there's lots of opportunity for things to go wrong!


Kiln Rebuilt
The high winds in April caused chaos when they destroyed the marque covering the kiln and in the process pulled down the chimney!  It's taken a while but the kiln is now back in business with a rebuilt chimney and improved structure.  The next firing will take place shortly with three new amphora ready for a glaze firing.

Throwing ice cream on a potters wheel - yes, it's true!!

David Jones was recently featured on BBC Points West along with Charlie Harry (Lick Me I'm Delicious ice cream) and Neil Glen (researcher in the School of Art and Design at Bath Spa University - throwing ice cream on a potters wheel - take a look it's unlikely ever to be repeated!!  Watch this novel approach to ice cream forming here.

New Designers Exhibition
